Where I’m in my Faith right now

I’ve been in a season of deep reflection and questioning over the past few years, especially around theology, the nature of G♡d, and the role of Jesus. Rather than rushing to conclusions or settling for easy answers, I’ve taken time to study, think, and wrestle with these questions carefully.

What I’m sharing here is not a finished or perfect system, but a working framework… something that feels coherent to me right now, while still remaining open to refinement and correction over time.

At the centre of my belief is this:

I believe in one G♡d – an indivisible, personal, incorporeal being who is the Creator and sustainer of all things. G♡d is unchanging in character, yet dynamically engaged with creation. His Spirit is not a separate person, but His active presence and power in the world.

I understand Jesus as the Son of G♡d, the Messiah and appointed King, who is uniquely brought into existence through G♡d’s Spirit. He is not G♡d Himself, but he reveals G♡d more clearly than anyone else. Through his life, teachings, death, and resurrection, he shows what it means to live in full surrender to G♡d and invites others into that same relationship.

For me, salvation is not a one-time event, but an ongoing process. It is about being restored into relationship with G♡d, by turning away from self-centredness and growing into alignment with Him. This transformation affects not only the individual, but also how we engage with the world, including confronting injustice and participating in the good.

I also recognise that there are areas where I do not yet have full clarity, especially around questions like the nature of Jesus’ pre-existence or the exact fate of those who reject G♡d. In those areas, I choose to remain open rather than force conclusions.

When it comes to understanding truth, I try to centre everything on the life and teachings of Jesus as found in the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke), and then read the rest of Scripture through that lens. Reason, experience, and intuition all play a role, but they are held with care and tested over time.

I’m sharing this not to argue or persuade, but to be honest about where I am and to invite thoughtful, respectful conversation. If you read this and have reflections, questions, or even disagreements, I’m open to hearing them.

I’m still learning. This is simply where I am right now.
